During my stay at Gate, I found the hotel to be a decent option for those seeking a budget-friendly stay in a convenient location. The room, although small, was sufficient for a short stay, and the hotel's proximity to Egmore station made commuting a breeze. The staff was responsive and helpful, addressing any issues promptly. However, I did notice that the windows in my room were not lockable, which was a bit concerning.While the hotel offers practical amenities like laundry services and a restaurant with fast service, there were areas that could use improvement, such as the need for bathroom upgrades and a lack of smiles from the staff. I was disappointed to discover that I was charged a higher rate than what was available online, making me question the value proposition of staying here again in the future.Gate provides a reasonable stay for those looking for a no-frills accommodation near transportation hubs, but potential guests should be mindful of fluctuating rates and room conditions.
